THE CITY OF LONG BEACH, MS is now accepting applications for the position of Fire Recruit (Minimum Age 18). Apply M-F, 9-5 at Mayor’s Office, Long Beach City Hall, located at 201 Jeff Davis Ave. Accepting applications thru February 11, 2025 - 1:00 p.m. Applications are available on the City Website www.cityoflongbeachms.com - MUST be hand delivered or mailed to: Long Beach City Hall, Attn: Civil Service, P. O. Box 929, Long Beach, MS 39560. Note: Physical Agility Testing for Fire Recruit will be administered February 27, 2025 at 8:00 a.m., at the Long Beach Central Fire Station, 645 Klondyke Road, Long Beach. Written Exam will be March 13, 2025, 10:00 a.m., at Central Fire Station.

Deadline to submit applications is January 31, 2025, 5:00 p.m. Applications are also available on the City Website www.cityoflongbeachms.com. To submit an application to the City of Long Beach Civil Service Commission the following items are required:

A recent un-mounted full face photograph (passport size).

A copy of your birth certificate.

Your fingerprints on an official fingerprint card (obtained through the police department, sheriff's office or highway patrol).

A copy of your DD-214, if prior service.

Copy of your high school diploma.
-
Driver's license and social security card.
